After several months of adjournment and postponements, a new sentencing date has finally been confirmed for popular Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi. The new sentencing date is September 21, 2022.

This new development was confirmed this week by the United States Attorney’s Office for Central District of California, Los Angeles, California, USA.

After several months of adjournment and postponements, a new sentencing date has finally been confirmed for popular Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.

Speaking to the media recently, the Director of Media Relations for the court, Thom Mrozek, also confirmed this as he said: “Hushpuppi, who had pleaded guilty to the alleged $1.1 million fraud last year, is currently scheduled to be sentenced by a federal judge in Los Angeles, California, on September 21, 2022.”

Recall that Hushpuppi was convicted in 2021 after he was arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and was extradited to the United States of America to face trial for his crimes.

Having pleaded guilty to the charges against him, he was initially supposed to be sentenced on February 14, 2022, but it was postponed to July 11, 2022. That was also postponed and has now been fixed for the new date on September 21, 2022.

The new sentencing date for Hushpuppi has now been set for September 21, 2022, in a court in the USA.
